Liz Baddaley has always lived a life surrounded by words, whether for her own fiction and poetry or for the many charities she has told stories for.

She was born in St Albans and read English at Oxford. But she’s now most likely to be found tapping away at her laptop with a pot of tea or exploring Yorkshire’s beautiful countryside – faithfully accompanied by Rabbit the dog.

Her debut children’s novel, The Finding of Freddie Perkins, was published by A&C Black (Bloomsbury). And she also published many books and resources with a wide range of social justice and environmental charities during a twenty year career as a staff and consultant writer.

She is currently querying Wild Word Sketches, her recently finished diary of 366 nature poems, and embarking on a new work in progress.
